Wreck of Unnamed Shipwreck - Canmore 96733 - Scottish East Coast & Borders

Ah, the Scottish East Coast. When the weather plays nice, there’s some proper diving to be had. This unnamed wreck, Canmore 96733, is one of those spots that really sticks with you. It’s not some grand liner, but a working vessel, and you can feel that history as you descend. The visibility can be a bit of a lottery, as you’d expect this far north, but when it clears, the structure really comes into its own. We love how the wreck has become a home for so much life. You’ll find squat lobsters tucked into every crevice, anenomes coating the hull, and often a decent sized conger eel peeking out from a darkened hold. Our favourite is spotting the wolf fish – their grumpy faces always make us smile. This is a dive for those who appreciate the quiet dignity of a working ship lost to the sea, where the exploration is about discovery and imagining the past, rather than just ticking off species. Come prepared for cooler waters and potentially a bit of current, but the reward is a genuinely atmospheric dive.
