With 269+ marine species recorded in the area - including blue sharks, blue whales, dolphins, dwarf minke whales and great white sharks - Troglodyte's Cove offers some of Cape Town & Western Cape's richest reef diving. Water ranges 14-16°C, warmest February, March, April.
Troglodyte's Cove gives you a glimpse into Cape Town’s kelp forests, often with impressive sunbeams filtering through the canopy. It's a fairly shallow reef dive, good for newer divers keen to explore the unique local temperate water species like various nudibranchs and shy shy sharks. Look closely among the rocky outcrops for smaller critters, especially in the crevices. We'd suggest pairing it with another nearby site for a full day out.
