El Emisario / Twin Pipes - Canary Islands

El Emisario, often called Twin Pipes, is a solid beginner-friendly dive in the Canaries. Dropping to around 18 metres, it’s a calm introduction to the local underwater scene, well-suited for those looking to get comfortable with their buoyancy or refresh their skills. You’ll find two large pipes here, remnants of an old outfall, which now serve as an interesting backdrop for various crabs and small octopuses to hide around. We’ve often spotted cuttlefish cruising the sandy patches between the pipes, and schools of damselfish flitting overhead. It’s not a thrill-a-minute site, but it consistently delivers a pleasant, relaxed dive.
