PRESTO (POSSIBLY) - Scottish East Coast & Borders

The Presto, off the Scottish East Coast, is a proper dive, one we really enjoy. She's a steamship, sunk in 1942, and sits upright at a shallow 13 metres. We love how intact she feels for a wreck of her age; you can still make out the bow and stern, and the engine room is a brilliant swim-through if you're comfortable with overhead environments. Her shallow depth means you get good bottom time, which is lucky, because there’s plenty to see. Look for the resident conger eels tucked into her plates and the sheer number of squat lobsters under every overhang. On a good day, with a bit of sunlight filtering through the green water, the wreck just glows. We'd suggest checking the tides for slack water, as currents can pick up a bit, making the swim-throughs less enjoyable. It's a great dive for anyone who appreciates a bit of history and loves exploring a solid wreck.
