Batsata Rock - Cape Town & Western Cape

Batsata Rock is one of those False Bay spots that’s good for a relaxed potter. It’s shallow, topping out around 12 metres, and sits between the shore and some exposed granite rocks. You get a nice mix here: some decent reef structure, a few high points, and then these sandy gullies that cut through the middle. We've often found ourselves just drifting along the edges of those gullies, spotting whatever’s lurking in the sand. It’s a pretty chill dive, honestly, perfect for a sunny day when you just want to get wet without too much fuss. Definitely one for those who prefer to take their time and observe rather than chase big pelagics.
