Boat Rock - Cape Town & Western Cape

Boat Rock, tucked away near Miller's Point, offers a good, solid dive without too much fuss. We've always found the southwest side the most interesting, with its chunky granite boulders creating a maze of nooks and crannies. While most of the small holes are too tight to squeeze through, they make excellent hideouts for various reef fish. Down at around 14 metres, the coarse shelly sand bottom sets a calm backdrop. It's a relaxed dive, perfect for exploring the crevices and maybe spotting a shy octopus peeking out. Current can pick up a bit, so we prefer it on a calmer day.
