    StandoutRich in charismatic marine life

The B111, a German destroyer scuttled back in 1919, lies in a manageable 17 meters within Scapa Flow. We often find her pretty intact, resting on her port side, giving you a good sense of her original form. You can trace the lines of her deck, find the gun placements, and peer into some of the open compartments. The wreck has become home to a decent collection of local marine life, with schools of coalfish darting around the structure and crabs scuttling amongst the plates. She’s a solid dive for anyone keen on naval history and exploring a well-preserved piece of it, without the challenges of deeper Scapa sites.
