LYNNE ANNE - Scapa Flow, Orkney

The Lynne Anne might be small, just a 6.7m yacht, but don't let that fool you. This isn't a "go deep to see big" kind of dive. She sits upright at a gentle 16 metres, making her perfect for newer wreck divers or anyone who just wants to spend a good hour poking around without worrying about deco. We love the way the light catches her mast and rigging, often draped in kelp that sways with the gentle surge. It creates this eerie, almost ghostly silhouette against the greenish Scapa Flow water. You’ll find squat lobsters tucked into every nook and cranny, and if you look closely, butterfish often dart through the hull. Our favourite part? Peeking inside the tiny wheelhouse. It’s surprisingly intact, a real time capsule, offering a glimpse into the last moments of a boat that simply... sank. It's a quiet, reflective dive, a nice contrast to the huge blockships nearby. We'd suggest pairing it with a drift along the nearby shoreline for a complete Scapa Flow experience.
