The Summer Isles wreck is a good choice for a shallower dive within Scapa Flow, sitting at around 10 meters. This little fishing vessel, just under 10 meters long, met its end in 1970 and now rests on Sgeir nam Mult. We like it for a quick, relaxed potter about, particularly if you’re looking to extend your bottom time or warm up for deeper dives. The wreck itself is pretty broken up, but you can still make out the general shape of a small fishing boat, and it’s become a home for various crabs and small fish darting in and out of the twisted metal. It’s ideal for newer divers or those who prefer a less demanding dive without strong currents.
