VICTORY - Scapa Flow, Orkney

The *Victory* in Scapa Flow isn’t a grand battleship, but for a sheltered, shallow dive, it’s our pick for a relaxing afternoon exploring. This isn't one of the colossal German fleet wrecks; she’s a drifter, sitting upright at 16 metres, relatively intact, and a joy to poke around. What we love about the *Victory* is how accessible she is, even when the wind whips up Scapa. The wheelhouse is still there, draped in kelp, and you can swim through various sections, imagining the crew on board. Look for the large conger eels often lurking in the gloom and the colourful nudibranchs grazing on the metalwork. This site is perfect for photographers who want to take their time, or divers looking for a multi-tank day without getting too deep or battling a lot of current.
