The **Normannvik**, one of Scapa Flow's oft-overlooked German destroyers, offers a surprisingly intimate dive. We love this wreck because it’s much more intact than its more famous sisters, still showing off its structure. Dropping down, you hit the bow first, often with a slight current nudging you along the length. You can swim through her torpedo tubes, a really cool feature, and we've spent ages just poking around the engine room, which is surprisingly open. Watch for those huge conger eels peering from every dark hole, and the resident pollack will often shadow you. It’s a fantastic dive for those who enjoy really exploring a wreck rather than just circling it.

    Safety Notes

Wreck site - avoid penetration without wreck diving certification. Watch for sharp metal and entanglement hazards.

Cold water this month (avg 13°C). Drysuit or thick wetsuit (7mm+) recommended.
